Yet some firms continue to make millions of prohibited calls every day. The F.C.C. is moving against telemarketers that use prerecorded messages and junk faxers to advertise products or services. If you've received such prerecorded junk calls or junk faxes, the Federal Communications Commission wants to know. |

Your cover sheet must include your name, voice phone number, address, and the date & time you sent the report to the FCC. It must also include: "Attn: TCPA Prerecorded Message Complaint Your report must include the following: 1) The date & approximate time the call was received 2) The product or service offered 3) Your allegation that the solicitation was a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 ( 47 USC 227 / 47 CFR 64.1200 ) |
Your cover sheet must include your
name, voice phone number, address, and the date & time you
sent the report to the FCC as well as the title,"Attn: TCPA unsolicited
Fax Complaint". Also, when faxing a copy of the offending junk
fax, the 'original' junk fax must be sent 'upside-down'
in order to not obscure its header. Your report must include the following: 1) The date & approximate time the fax was received 2) A copy of the 'junk fax' you received 3) Your allegation that the facsimile was a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 ( 47 USC 227 / 47 CFR 64.1200 ) |

That you received the call on your residential phone line & the phone number of that lin e 5) That you have controlling interest over that number 6) That the call was prerecorded 7) That the call was a solicitation for a product or service 8) That you have no business relationship with the calling firm nor any of its associated firms 9) That you never gave consent nor invited the firm to call you 10) If applicable, that the call lacked identification (therefore: how was the call's source identified?) |

Provide as much information as possible to help identify the caller,
such as the name and address of the firm on whose behalf the call was
made.
If you traced the call, have Caller ID or used *69 to identify the
source
of the call, provide that info as well. A written transcript of the
call
is important to include. |
